My Virtual Freight Forwarder, a fast-growing tech company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a BDM, you will be responsible for driving sales and onboarding new clients to our innovative subscription-based freight forwarding system. The role is purely sales-based and will require you to have exceptional communication skills, as you will be conversing with people from all levels of business, including phone, online, demos, and attending trade shows of various industries. Knowledge of the freight industry is advantageous, but not necessary for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify leads through cold-calling, networking, and other lead generation activities.
Develop and maintain a sales pipeline to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients, both in person and virtually.
Communicate the value of our subscription-based freight forwarding system and provide solutions to clients’ logistics needs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to ensure a mutually beneficial outcome.
Work collaboratively with the internal team to deliver customer requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven sales experience in a B2B environment, preferably in the tech industry.
Demonstrated ability to identify and close sales opportunities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven to succeed.
Knowledge of the freight industry is advantageous but not essential.
Willingness to travel to attend trade shows and events.
