We are looking for a casual Curatorial Officer to provide specialist curatorial, writing and project support to the Art Gallery team. You will work in a dynamic and committed team attending to curation of new exhibition projects, researching and writing interpretive texts, coordinating the development of exhibition design, liaising with artists and community outreach.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for a casual Curatorial Officer to provide specialist curatorial and project support to the Art Gallery team. You will work in a dynamic and committed team attending to curation of new exhibition projects, researching and writing interpretive texts, coordinating the development of exhibition design, liaising with artists and community outreach.

First and foremost, you’ll need to live and breathe our Values, as they are fundamental to the way we go about our work and the relationships we build. We would love to hear from you or someone you know who has demonstrated curatorial experience in exhibition management. Knowledge of Australian art history and/or contemporary art practice with strong writing and research skills and the ability to access information through libraries, archives, collections, online databases is expected.

Applicants should be passionate about providing an outstanding service to customers, and experience working with First Nations artists and communities would be ideal.

Eligibility

• You’ll hold a current C Class Driver’s Licence
• You’ll have a a current Blue Card Child Care (or are you willing to rapidly acquire one should you be offered the position)
