Your opportunity

 

Our Operator Maintainer position is based on North Stradbroke Island, this position will see you operating, maintaining and monitoring City Water assets including, Wastewater Treatment Plants, Pump Stations and Network Assets.

 

Guided by our Values, you will:

 

Provide accurate technical advice and knowledge.
Provide leadership and direction for contractors, assistant operators, labourers and other staff.
Provide exception reports for operations outside of Licence Quality Assurance and Integrated Environmental Management System requirements.
Undertake various administrative functions, including developing and maintaining effective maintenance plans/schedules.

Has experience with the operation, inspection and maintenance of assets associated with Wastewater Treatment Plants and Pumping Stations.
Understands environmental issues, practices and legal requirements relevant to the environmental impacts of operations at the site.
Can operate the plant in accordance with Quality Assurance and Maintenance Management Systems.

Eligibility

 

You’ll hold a mechanical trade or an equivalent accredited qualification
You’ll have a Current class C Drivers Licence (manual)
You’ll have the ability to attain and maintain Confined Space Ticket
You’ll be able to participate in the after hours on call roster and be available for site related operations over weekends, public holidays and other overtime work on a call out or rostered basis. The incumbent must be available on North Stradbroke Island out of hours.
To be eligible for employment, applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.
