Redland City Council (RCC) is situated on the naturally wonderful Redlands Coast, which includes the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, mainland suburbs and rural hinterland which is located east of Brisbane. The Redlands region is home to the crystal blue waters of southern Moreton Bay, with approximately 335km of coastline, with the beautiful North Stradbroke Island, Coochiemudlo Island and the Southern Moreton Bay Islands including Russell, Macleay, Lamb and Karragarra islands.

As our Group Manager Communities, you will provide visionary leadership and management to the communities group covering a diverse range of functions including community development, safety, grants, leasing, social planning, cemeteries and city sports and venues. You will be an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team building relationships across the organisation and in your group providing an inclusive and engaged work environment. This role provides strategic oversight, policy development and implementation of sound value add community outcomes. You will be leading a newly formed team of subject matter specialists who are passionate about the community. You will be working across the group with a diverse range of areas facilitating collaboration between all stakeholders to provide successful outcomes of city shaping opportunities and an exceptional customer experience.

Essential

 

You will possess a  tertiary qualification in Business or Humanities discipline or significant experience in a senior leadership services position.
You will possess a current motor vehicle license for road travel within Australia.
