Private Occupational Therapy practice
Squish Kids is looking for an amazing receptionist / admin for full time hours, 9am to 5pm / 9.30-5.30.
We are a private Occupational Therapy practice with clinics in Victoria Point, Cleveland and Capalaba.
This role is split between our clinics in Victoria Point and Capalaba

Tell me more about Squish Kids…..We provide Occupational Therapy for children with developmental delay and/or diagnoses such as autism and ADHD (and more). We have six therapists and 2 therapy aides, a second receptionist and back up admin.
Squish Kids started as DOTS Kids in 2011. We are Redlands owned and based. The Squish team is close knit and relies on open communication and solid peer support. We work closely together and spend more waking hours with each other than most others, so we do it very carefully. We celebrate successes and enjoy time together outside of work (annual retreat).
What do you want from me? Ideally you will have medical reception, or reception experience with a view to learn medical terminology. Previous exposure to the NDIS system, PRODA and/or Medicare would be very helpful.
You will need to have strong skills with Microsoft applications (SharePoint, Dynamics, Teams, Excel, Word), Xero and ideally also with Canva and social media. Being very capable with document formatting and typing is required.
Able to demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality and be a fast learner with initiative.
Someone who thrives on the role of greeting clients, interacting with children, and helping parents in the waiting room will enjoy this role. (Being physically able to get on and off the floor easily is really helpful).
Our clients are with us for months-years, so you will build solid working relationships. Having a friendly, polite, and professional manner, ability to remember names and faces and capacity to provide an empathetic, compassionate, and supportive environment is important.
And in more detail? What does the job entail?
You will be sitting at the reception desk with day-to-day roles such as answering the phone, managing emails, creating invoices, and working closely with clinicians to manage their timetables. Other roles include creating paperwork relevant to client start up, assistance with staffing on-boarding, assisting clinicians manage their admin and providing a clean and calm clinic space.
Also monitoring of office supplies for order, liaising with other health professionals, schools and families, and organisation of social events.
Opportunity to move towards Practice Management role.

You will need an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, Blue Card and Drivers Licence (with vehicle).
Commencing early February 2024.
