Job Description – Administration Officer

Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce

Contract (8 hours/week – flexible)

 

Requirements: 8 hours per week

Remuneration: $35/hr

About the Chamber

The Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce is the leading engagement, advocacy and support organisation for the business community on the Redlands Coast. The Chamber is committed to ensuring a bright future ahead for the Redlands Coast through sustainable economic development that enhances the lifestyle, community spirit and culture of the Redlands Coast.

The Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce is currently experiencing unprecedented growth and is becoming seen as an influential voice and leader for the local business community. The profile of the Chamber has lifted over the past 12 months, and has become a driver of large, complex community-wide initiatives alongside all levels of Government, Industry, and the wider business community.

The Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce has six main initiatives that hold regular events for the business community on the Redlands Coast to network, connect and engage with each other. These include:

  • Redlands Connected Business Breakfasts
  • Redlands Connected Interactive Breakfasts
  • Redlands Women in Business
  • Redlands Business Excellence Awards
  • Champion Redlands Coast
  • Redlands Regional Jobs Committee

 

The Role

The opportunity to join the team as a contract Administration Officer with the Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce (8hrs) is available, and we are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Redlands advocate to join our team.

The Administration Officer will work alongside our Commercial Manager, Executive Committee and relevant Sub Committees to offer 8 hours of administrative support through:

  • General Administration
    • email management, printing, laminating, mail collection
  • Event Management
    • administrative support to our Commercial Manager and Sub Committees
  • Accounts Management
    • administrative support to our Commercial Manager for membership and debtor management

The role is flexible, and hours/days of work can be discussed and negotiated with the suitable candidate.

Note: some attendance at events may be required and will be discussed accordingly.

 

The Candidate

Ideally, we are seeking someone who has excellent communication skills, commitment to detail and is an advocate for the Redlands Coast.

The role is not set, and the right person will need to organise workflow based on priority.

The ideal candidate will need to have excellence time management skills as well as organisational skills and be able to communicate and liaise with all levels of stakeholders, from government officials to industry leaders. Attention to detail is a must as well as good administrative skills.
