The Regional Jobs Committee (RJC) is part of the Queensland Government’s commitment to working with stakeholders in regions around Queensland to create more jobs, improve training pathways, drive economic activity and attract investment. RJC’s are established as part of the Skills for Queensland – Great Training for Quality Jobs Strategy.
The Redlands Regional Jobs Committee brings together local representatives from a diverse range of industries to lead evidence based advocacy, and create initiatives that foster growth in employment, skills and training. The Redlands Regional Jobs Committee aligns with the Champion Redlands Coast vision; driving economic prosperity and jobs creation towards a bright future for the Redlands Coast.
The Redlands Regional Jobs Committee are delivering an Action Plan with a range of initiatives outlined below that are aligned to The Queensland Governments ‘Good people. Good jobs: Queensland Workforce Strategy 2022-2032’.
Linking industry with skills and education through Industry Spotlights and other key events such as the annual Futures Forum.
Online Jobs platform Redlands Coast Jobs , hosting local Jobs Fairs and Speed Recruitment events, delivering information sessions to employers on Government employment incentives and assistance.
Facilitating connections between local schools, industry and training providers through the Schools and Business Connect initiative.
Supporting business growth and local entrepreneurialism by promoting education and mentoring opportunities.
