Website Australian Industry Trade College

Step away from the tools and help young people find their purpose in industry.
Share your experience and make a positive difference in the lives of young people.
Help deliver our deliberately different industry-driven educational experience that challenges the status quo.

The Australian Industry Trade College (AITC) is unlike any other senior school. We’re for young people who seek a deliberately different educational experience. An industry-driven one. For those who want to learn in the classroom, within workplaces and on the job. We’re for those young people who seek to start building real-world strengths and skills now, not only in the future.

We are seeking an Industry Consultant (similar to the role of an Industry Liaison Officer) to join our Redlands campus in a full-time, permanent capacity.

In this role, you will support young people to achieve employment outcomes.

Key to your success will be your ability to coach and mentor young people to build their character and employability skills and connect with industry to develop successful, ongoing partnerships.

You will also provide day-to-day oversight of the implementation of a range of industry program activities.

Responsibilities will include:

Conducting risk assessments with employers to ensure appropriate duty of care and compliance.
Leading on-campus young person training opportunities (Site Meetings, ‘Rookies Be Prepared’, etc.)
Education and training to set young people up for successful work experience placements.
Facilitation of workshops and employability skills sessions.
Review and follow-up of Work Experience Program placements and providing feedback to young people.
Engage both new and existing employers with the AITC.
Communication and liaison with parents/guardians and employers.
Our values play a critical role in cultivating culture. They set the standards for how we behave, interact with others, make decisions, and choose to act. They are:

Think progressively
Take courageous action
Achieve inspiring outcomes
Demonstrate genuine care
Contribute authentically
Succeed collectively
