The Futures Forum explored the opportunities which $6.5b investment would bring to the region over the next decade. The event also focused on linking that investment with future jobs and the aspirations of young people on the Redlands Coast.
Futures Forum highlighted that if you’re a small business operator, government representative, training provider, student, teacher, or resident on the Redlands Coast, we all have a part to play in securing a bright future for the Redlands Coast.
Work experience offers benefits for both students and employers, providing opportunities to nurture future talent, increase productivity, and promote diversity in the workforce.
Whether you’re a student seeking to enhance your career prospects or an employer looking to invest in your workforce, work experience is a valuable opportunity worth considering.

The Redlands Regional Jobs Committee has developed a guide written specifically for employers and workplace supervisors, looking to participate in “School-to-Work” programs in QLD. It explains the types of workplace programs available, your role in hosting a student at your workplace and provides resources to further assist you in creating a well-planned and structured experience for students.
Career Panel Chats and Industry Spotlight sessions provide an opportunity for local students to learn about roles in various industries, to better understand career pathway options and provide a chance for students to connect with industry leaders.
Hosted in local schools around the Redlands Coast, RJC Committee Members, Champion Redlands Coast industry partners and other Redlands industry leaders bring industry insights, real-world career experiences and exposure to the classroom to support students on their school-to-work transition journey.
